LOGAN FOODY
Logan Foody is currently a second-year student in Lincoln Memorial University's Clinical Mental Health Counseling program. He is under the supervision of Shawn Helvey, LPC-MHSP. He graduated from the University of Dayton in 2025, where he played NCAA Division I football, served as president of the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee representing male and female athletes across campus, and received the 2024 AJ Cohen Flyer of the Year Award for his positive attitude and team-first approach.
Logan enjoys working with adolescent and young adult men. Through his own experience navigating life after college and his work at a recovery high school, he's seen firsthand how transformative it can be for men to invest in their mental health. He frequently works with clients navigating anxiety, depression, and Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD), as well as those moving through life's transitions or searching for a sense of purpose.
Clients say sessions with Logan feel easy and familiar right away — he brings a mix of directness and humor that builds trust quickly and keeps the work moving in the direction the client actually wants to go. His approach is rooted in the belief that real change starts with honesty: accepting where you are before you can move toward where you want to be, and recognizing that the gap between the two is often smaller than it feels. He draws on CBT, ACT, and DBT, blending evidence-based practice with an approach tailored to men's mental health.
Outside of the therapy room, Logan spends his time with family, at the gym, and on the golf course, and shares men's mental health content on TikTok.
