Counseling for Families
Family Counseling
Families can get stuck in hurtful patterns - arguments repeat, old hurts resurface, or certain voices feel louder than others. Family Counseling gives everyone space to slow down, listen, and reset.
In sessions, we get to the root of what’s causing tension and guide families toward healthier ways of relating and interacting, so home can feel like a safe and supportive place again.
Family Counseling can help you:
Untangle patterns that keep you stuck in the same fights
Strengthen communication so every family member feels heard
Work through transitions like divorce, remarriage, or kids growing into new stages
Create routines, boundaries, and expectations that reduce stress and increase connection
Couples Counseling
Partnerships are built on love, but life has a way of adding stress, silence, or distance. What once felt effortless can start to feel hard. Couples Counseling can help you press pause and rebuild together.
In sessions, the focus isn’t just fixing problems but rediscovering what makes your relationship worth protecting — and building new habits to keep it strong.
Couples Counseling can help you:
Communicate in a healthier way — beyond criticism or shutting down
Repair trust where it’s been broken and encourage emotional and physical connection
Navigate big changes like parenthood, career shifts, or blended family life
Find common ground in your goals, values, and hopes for the future
Parent Coaching
When we feel disconnected from our child, it throws our lives into chaos. Even if you feel you have tried it all, there is a way to improve your communication with and connection to your child.
In sessions, we identify and practice skills that will allow your relationship with your child to mature as they do. This will include tools to increase your ability to bring firmness and compassion to your parenting style so you can confidently walk the tightrope between love and limits.
Parent Coaching can help you:
Improve communication and connection with your child
Confront and respond to behavioral challenges and conflict cycles
Co-parent with grace after separation or divorce or navigate blended family dynamics
Prepare for transitions like a child returning from treatment or wilderness programs
How We Work
Our therapeutic approach informs meetings with families, partners, and parents. We keep our focus on building a strong relationship which allows us to offer meaningful and constructive reflections.
We begin with a free 30-minute consultation, to explore what’s going on and determine whether a counselor feels right for you.
Sessions blend practical tools and relational insight. We believe in both understanding what gets in the way and having ways to change what’s in front of you.
You’ll be invited to try new things — new ways of speaking, listening, showing up — in ways that fit your values and your family.
Most importantly, we do not place blame on any individual person, but instead identify each person’s role and new ways to engage in a healthier path forward.
Families come in many shapes and sizes and the solutions to their disconnection are not one size fits all. Therapy can address the unique and sometimes conflicting desires between children and parents or between partners to help them chart a new path forward.
