ELENA GALVEZ, MS
Elena is a dedicated and goal-oriented therapist passionate about supporting men and young people as they overcome barriers, build resilience, and navigate life’s challenges. She holds a Master’s in Clinical Mental Health and School Counseling from Southern Adventist University and is a pre-licensed therapist under supervision by Shawn Helvey, LPC-MHSP.
Elena specializes in working with children starting at age 8, as well as teens, young adults, and adult men. With a strong commitment to reducing the stigma around men’s mental health, she aims to empower men to explore their emotional well-being and seek help when needed. Her therapeutic approach is flexible, responsive to a client’s individual needs and is rooted in evidence-based methods.
Her experience spans diverse settings including residential treatment, inpatient care, and outpatient therapy, where she has worked with individuals facing anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, grief, and trauma. She has also worked as an addiction counselor.
Elena believes that every individual has the potential to heal, grow, and thrive, regardless of where they are in their journey. Her mission as a therapist is to provide a compassionate and safe space for clients to explore their emotions, discover their strengths, and work toward the life they envision. She strives to offer hope when people feel hopeless and inspire others to be all that they are capable of being. She sees it as an honor to be invited into the heart of someone seeking transformation.
Outside of work, she enjoys spending time in nature, whether riding her bike, swimming, taking walks with her dog Oso, or listening to podcasts and audiobooks by the lake.
